2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — name, email address, and password hash when you create an account.
  • Third-party account data — when you connect your Pinterest account we store your Pinterest user ID, username, profile image URL, OAuth access & refresh tokens, and board list.
  • Google sign-in data — if you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, pins generated, credits consumed, and timestamps.
  • Generated content — AI-generated pin images, titles, descriptions, and destination URLs you create through our service.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies necessary for authentication.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To connect to and interact with the Pinterest API on your behalf (publishing pins, reading boards, etc.).
  • To generate AI-powered pin images and content.
  • To track credit usage and enforce usage limits.
  • To improve and personalise the service.
  • To communicate with you about your account or the service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following providers:

  • Pinterest API — to publish pins and retrieve board data on your behalf.
  • Google (OAuth) — for social sign-in authentication.
  • Google Gemini / AI provider — scraped page content and your preferences are sent to generate pin images and descriptions.
  • Cloudflare R2 — to store generated pin images.
  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure.
  • Stripe for payments, analytics tools, email provider

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Generated pin images and metadata are kept until you delete them or close your account. After account deletion we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Google Analytics, Posthog, Vercel Analytics

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure token storage. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

PinPilot is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above.
